KazuNori Mid-Wilshire Opens

Interior of KazuNori Mid-Wilshire

The restaurant features a 24-seat hand roll counter bar where, like at our other locations, guests can watch their hand rolls being made, and, most importantly, enjoy them while the seaweed is at its best.

We are thrilled to open the doors to KazuNori Mid-Wilshire this Thursday, September 19th at 6245 Wilshire Blvd., beside food-centric restaurants UOVO and the soon-to-open HiHo Cheeseburger.

At KazuNori, the commitment to quality is unwavering, serving hand rolls made with only the freshest fish, along with specially harvested seaweed, house-made sauces, and signature warm rice. Named after celebrated sushi chef Kazunori Nozawa who introduced the cylindrical-style hand roll to the United States over 40 years ago, KazuNori opened in 2014 and is the first restaurant of its kind.

Featuring four different set menus, sashimi, beer, and sake, Nozawa believes that the experience of eating hand rolls is truly something special and worthy of its own restaurant. “The combination of our crispy nori, warm rice, and pristine fish will redefine what you think about hand rolls,” explains co-founder Tom Nozawa.

The 1,300-square-foot space designed by Marmol Radziner features Japanese geometric pattern-inspired surfaces of white oak and blackened steel. At the 24-seat hand roll bar, guests can dine at the counter while seeing their hand rolls being made, and most importantly enjoy them while the seaweed is at its best.

KazuNori Mid-Wilshire will offer delivery exclusively through Postmates as well as pick-up from both Postmates and ChowNow. With ample and convenient parking at the corner of Wilshire and Crescent Heights, KazuNori along with UOVO and HiHo will be located on the ground floor of the new Vision on Wilshire.
